The Poppy project is an open platform for developing an easy-to-use android robot, both at the hardware and software levels, with a robust and flexible structure. Poppy is made using ready-made components (motors, hardware electronics) and designed 3D-forms manufactured using modern additive technologies.
The body of 84 cm in height, with a total weight of 3.5 kg, has a morphology similar to a human skeleton with flexible limbs, and a strong structure, stable during movements.
The robot is easy to modify and refine as it is implemented with components available on the market; equipped with a camera, two color LCD displays and a speaker that enhances its level of social interaction.
